Get Ready for Tax Season! 2011 W2 / 1099 Information

W2 and 1099 forms will be automatically prepared by ADP for all our employees during the next 6 weeks. It is your responsibility to file federal state and city taxes (when applicable). All income taxes are due by April 17, 2012. The IRS website includes a withholding calculator. We recommend you verify your 2012 estimated income prior to filling out your W4 and IT 2104. If you need any help preparing for your tax filings, check in with Alex at any time.

Payroll News!

charitybuzz will distribute 2012 W4, I9, State W4 and Form IT 2104 in order to verify your withholding statements and prepare for 2012 payroll. All forms must be returned by January 16, 2012. The New York State withholding tax rate changed effective January 1, 2012 due to recent legislation that resulted in revised withholding tax computation rules. These changes apply to payrolls made on or after January 1, 2012. To calculate new withholding tax amounts use Publication NYS-50-T-NYS, New York State Withholding Tax Tables and Methods. Yonkers withholding tax rate also changed effective January 1, 2012. If you wish to estimate new withholding tax amounts use Publication NYS-50-T-Y, Yonkers Withholding Tax Tables and Methods.

New Year, New Health Insurance

Our current Empire POS plan is up for renewal on March 1, 2012. Our brokers need to survey currently utilized network of physicians in order to recommend the best health plan suitable for entire Tristate area. The goal is to lower the cost and keep the great benefits. We are asking all employees to prepare a list of physicians (name, address and phone number) they currently utilize or wish to utilize. List should be anonymous and sealed in an envelope. We will collect the envelopes on Monday, January 16. Info meeting will be held in February to keep everyone up to date on insurance changes.

On the tech front, we’re focused on increasing our online community AND making our online tools more efficient for you.

• Online donation form will allow donors to submit donation information online creating greater efficiency and consistency. Look for this new feature to launch within the month! Code like the wind, Sameer!
